NEW MEMBERS
We need new members to come forward and take part in running the TMO. This is not a commitment to a huge amount of your time.
The TMO has been up and running since 2002. But to keep it running and resident lead, more volunteers must come forward. Attending a management committee meeting six to ten times a year is all that we require of you.
Training can be offered in areas such as:
- Housing finance
- Bookkeeping
- Business planning
- Repairs and estate services
- Health & safety
- Employment law
- Tenant participation
- Community events
- Block/Estate inspections
- Communications
- Funding
As a member you can gain new skills and valuable experiences, you will not be expected to do the TMO’s day work as we have qualified staff employed in the office. By becoming a board member you will oversee all the TMO’s operations and finances and ensure that the TMO’s vision statement is upheld.
BECOMING A MEMBER IS EASY
All residents of Cranston Estate are eligible to become a member of organisation, attend meetings and put their name forward for election to the management committee.
The TMO is run by a democratically elected management committee (none of whom are paid) anyone 18 years and over,Who is a lawful resident in the property is entitled to buy a ten Pence share. This entitles them to vote, stand for committee at our Annual General Meeting, inspect the books, minutes etc.
The TMO is dependent on volunteers to come forward and join the committee. All you have to do is fill out a board nomination form and return it to the TMO office situated at 13, Daniell House, Cranston Estate , London N1 5EH or return it via email to cranstontmo@hotmail.co.uk
